Around The World in 80 Days

QUT Gardens Theatre

24th July - 25th July, 11am & 7:30pm

The original Amazing Race, Around the World in 80 Days is a joyfully frenetic whirlwind of a show, full of daft Victorian invention, daring deeds and downright silliness in the style of Monty Python.

The story begins with a bank robbery by a mysterious figure, just as the fearless adventurer Phileas Fogg and his faithful valet, Mr. Passepartout, embark on a mad-cap adventure to circumnavigate the globe in just 80 days. Convinced Fogg is the bank robber on the run, Scotland Yard's Detective Fix follows closely behind.

...Playful theatre that takes us back to first principles: clever ideas, inventive staging and an accomplished cast who infect the audience with the fun they are having on stage. Theatre that makes few demands and gives generously is rare... Around the World in 80 Days is a simple pleasure.
