Collab. In Conversation #3

Join us for the third Collab. in Conversation event on Tuesday 12 November.

Blaklash and The Creative Brisbane Collab. invite you to explore how collaboration and storytelling can drive a legacy for Brisbane post-2032.

As organisations in all sectors in Brisbane prepare for the opportunities presented in the lead up and legacy of 2032 we understand there will be a focus on engaging with Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander peoples to work together to highlight Australian First Nations culture to the world.

Join us for a panel discussion featuring Troy Casey (Blaklash), Merindah Donnelly (BlakDance) and Keisha Leon (Cause Effect Studio) as we examine what makes a successful, respectful and meaningful collaboration across both corporate and artistic projects.

This conversation will delve into real examples and outline best practice for how non Indigenous and Indigenous parties can successfully work together and when, where and why it's appropriate to pursue collaboration.

The panel will highlight the importance of embedding First Nations perspectives into Brisbane’s cultural, corporate and artistic landscape, fostering meaningful engagement, and ensuring that the city’s post-2032 identity is inclusive, culturally vibrant, and deeply connected.

Presented jointly by Blaklash and Creative Brisbane Collab, this event rounds out CBC’s in conversation series for 2024.  The event will be followed by casual drinks in the Blaklash Gallery space.

This event is supported by QPAC
